Final draft of 2.5GHz and 450MHz approved by ANATEL-Brazil

ANATEL, the Brazilian national telecom regulator,  approved the terms for the 2.5 GHz and 450 MHz bands , which  will be used  for 4G deployment and increased broadband access in rural parts of Brazil.

There were a few changes  made from the draft document some items, such as the linking of the two tenders.  The two frequencies will be auctioned together, and winners of 2.5 GHz licenses will also  be required to take on 450 MHz licenses and have the responsibility  to role out in rural areas of Brazil.
